Appointment Booking Procedures

Q. How can I view my upcoming appointments?

You can access a list of your future appointments by clicking the 'Calendar' button in the menu.

Q: How can I schedule an appointment?

You can browse the schedule for existing availabilities. Here are the steps:
  1. Click on 'Schedule an appointment' in the menu
  2. Choose the type of appointment you are seeking.  There are several to choose from.
  3. Then, select your Advisor's name to see their availability. 
  4. Next, choose the date and time.
  5. Click once on an availability slot to schedule that it. Please note that you are only permitted to schedule an appointment 24-hours in advance.  Select an appointment at least 24-hours in advance.  If you select an appointment that falls inside of that timeframe, you will be prevented from booking that time.
  6. Follow the prompts to confirm and finalize the booking.  Again, if you have chosen a time that is sooner than 24-hours in advance, you will prevented from finalizing that appointment booking.

Q. How can I cancel an appointment?

If you see a 'cancel' link beside your appointment on the 'Calendar' tab you can use this to cancel your appointment. If you do not see this link please call or visit to cancel your appointment.

Q. What can I do if I have a question or concern and don't feel an appointment is really necessary?

Not every question requires an appointment.  If you feel that your question could be addressed by an email or phone, contact your Accessibility Advisor directly.  If your question is general in nature,  you can call also our office (709.864.2156) or stop by in-person (UC-4000). Otherwise you can click the 'Submit a comment' item in the menu to send us a question or comment.

Q. Why can't I book a same day appointment?

Currently, our system allows students to book appointments 24-hours in advance.

Q. Do I really have to wait for an appointment with my advisor if my question or concern is urgent in nature?

If you are experiencing an emergency situation, you are encouraged to avail of supports available through other offices on the St. John's Campus or in the community.
